  • Are EMT's Axon Enterprise's Next Big Market?

Paramedics could use the data to benefit from body cameras to help save lives in real time, and to improve overall  training.

This was a very interesting article  about the  Taser company , and i wanted to share it with you all.

Article written by Travis Hoium (TMFFlushDraw)

Axon Enterprise's (NASDAQ:AAXN) offerings have become the gold standard in law-enforcement body cameras, and in related video and cloud services. As of the end of 2018's third quarter, the company had 325,200 active seats using its Axon Cloud -- nearly twice as many as it had in service a year earlier.

Now, another new market for cameras with a cloud connection and live feeds could be opening up: The company has landed its first deal with a paramedic department. With 248,000 EMTs and paramedics in just the U.S., there's significant growth to be had for Axon if this contract goes well.

    Paramedics go live

Cypress Creek Emergency Medical Services will be the first organization to equip paramedics and paramedic supervisors with body cameras. Their goal is to improve communication between first responders, and to use the video captured as an instructional tool. Cypress Creek EMS Executive Director Bradley England said this in Axon's press release announcing the partnership:

We conducted a trial with Axon cameras in 2014 and it proved to be an invaluable teaching tool that improved our clinical practice and sped up advanced certifications. The use of this technology contributed to saving at least two lives because our paramedics were able to show ER doctors exactly what they saw in the field.

The real-time data from body cameras may be what is most useful in the paramedic market. Axon's Body 3 camera now supports live-streaming through AT&T and Verizon's wireless networks, and has embedded GPS. Location information can be key for tracking patients, and if doctors and nurses know what injuries are coming into the emergency room before they arrive, it could improve medical outcomes.

    Expanding the addressable market

The good news for Axon Enterprise investors is that paramedics could offer the company an incremental growth market that doesn't require changing its product line much at all. As of October 2018, management said its total addressable market was worth $8.4 billion.  There's not currently an estimate on the incremental value of the paramedic market for body cameras, but any adjacent market that Axon can add will improve the company's economics.

    Another win for Axon Enterprise

Management has seemed focused on expanding its law enforcement business, but this deal may indicate that it's looking toward new markets where the data body cameras could be valuable. Those could include paramedics, firefighters, security workers, or even the military.

From an investment perspective, this shows that Axon could have a higher revenue ceiling than it would if it continued to focus solely on law enforcement. Taking body cameras wireless could help expand those opportunities, and I think we'll see more product announcements like this as more customers see the value of live monitoring.

  • Tasers Now Legal in New Jersey and 3 Other States - Here's Where To Buy Them Online

    self defense dealer

With Taser legal in NJ, residents now have a less lethal option for self defense and incapacitating potential attackers.

If you are in New Jersey and planning to have your own Taser or stun gun, you would really love to hear this bit of good news. A recent U.S. Supreme Court decision has now lifted the decades-long ban on the individual owning of stun guns and similar devices in the state and New Jersey residents can now legally purchase these for the first time ever since 1985.

However, there are several stipulations that come with the new rules regarding private ownership of stun guns and Tasers. For starters, minors are not allowed to buy or possess Tasers as well as those who are considered as mentally ill and individuals who have been convicted felons. But otherwise, everybody can own one.

The term ‘stun gun’ pertains to "any weapon or other device that emits an electrical charge or current intended to temporarily or permanently disable a person," as stated on the proposed policies. The revision of the current law banning ownership of stun guns followed a legal battle pursued by a state resident Mark Cheeseman with the help of a local organization, the New Jersey Second Amendment Society. The suit filed against State Attorney General Christopher Porrino claimed that the longstanding ban violated the citizens’ right to bear arms. Before the prohibition was repelled, only police officers could use such devices like Tasers.

    Why Buy Tasers

    self defense dealer

Tasers and stun guns are less than lethal weapons. A lot of people in New Jersey have been clamoring for this new amendment because they feel they are being denied capacity to protect themselves without having to use lethal weapons such as guns. A stun gun is ideal for stopping and incapacitating an attacker. In other parts of the States, a Taser is one of the most popular self defense weapons particularly for those who do not like guns. The effect of being hit by a Taser includes inability to stand, disorientation and increased heart rate. So imagine stunning a potential attacker with a Taser. This indeed provides extra protection especially among women.

The Taser can be very effective in subduing a potential attacker without the probability of killing him. Several studies found Tasers to be a lot safer than firearms and there is only a low occurrence of events that resulted to serious injuries while preventing an attack. Although this type of self defense weapon has been banned in New Jersey for decades, Taser is not classified by the ATF as a firearm because it does not use gunpowder as propellant but compressed nitrogen.

    Using Taser for Personal Safety

Applying high voltage to prevent a potential attacker instantaneously, a stun gun emits electrical current to immobilize anyone with bad intentions. The high voltage it releases causes the muscles of a would-be assailant to spasm uncontrollably, disorienting him for a moment. During these crucial seconds, stun gun users can easily get out of harm’s way. The good thing about this is that it has no risk of permanent injury because a stun gun’s amperage is relatively low.

Having a stun gun or Taser with you gives you the opportunity to buy crucial time during an attack and it can also be used virtually anywhere regardless of the situation. Even if the attacker is standing in the water or is already holding you, you can still use it to subdue the attack without affecting you.

No matter what your profession is, where you live, or how you conduct your daily routine, a personal self defense tool such as a Taser must be one of your top priorities. Stun guns are ideal personal protection weapons because they are now deemed as one of the most practical types of self defense. These devices are now easy to purchase, thanks to the new law in New Jersey, and they also pack just the right punch. If you are armed with the right device for your self defense, you have a higher chance of escaping an attack without harm without risking a lethal blow that may prove fatal.

Men, women and virtually anyone can take advantage of owning a stun gun as a non lethal self defense weapon. But on the other hand, not all stun guns are created the same. You need to know the best place to buy one that sells high quality Tasers and other related self defense weapons. This means you are sure that what you are buying is a good quality piece of equipment and guaranteed to do the job when you need it the most.

  • Your Women And Tasers- What A Combination! And Where You Could Order One For Her!

self defense dealer stun gun trigger runt multiguard

If you can't find a little humor at the above photo. something is wrong with you lol! Women and Tasers are a  great combination that can help at least curb a small percentage of assaults that happen. I have always said that I know many women who are terrified of guns, but they still want to protect themselves. That's why i got into the self defense market. Miami is a big city, and it was interesting how many corner stores, or shops i would walk into, and not see any self defense products whatsoever. None. Zilch.

I would always ask the if they sell pepper spray or stun guns, and they all have this look on their faces------>

So that's when i knew i had to get these products out there. but its funny, some of the stores act like they want to stock my products in their stores, but really they are looking for edible products and bongs! Hey, whatever floats your boat.  But i know that when women see me and big red----->    Self Defense Dealer, Self Defense Weapons near me, taser pulse   Yep that's us lol, out on the street, they always ask what do i sell. I  happily give them a card and let them know i drop ship as well as sell to the public. I may have a few items  on me, but most of the time its just to show clients who want to purchase more of them for their establishments. But as I talk to women, some of them have guns and that's cool, but I tell them let a gun be your last line of defense. You don't really want to take a life, but you do want to get as far away from your assailant as possible. I can understand that completely.

Tasers are a great defense tool for women. They are different from stun guns in the way that a Taser has projectiles with a range of about 15 feet, as where stun guns have to make close contact. I have many husbands who order from me on my website and order the Taser Pulse on ebay from me as well, and they all say that they are purchasing this item for their wife or girlfriend, or daughter or niece going to college, or because they work night shift.

I will continue to make these products available and known to as much as the public as i can. The holidays are just around the corner, yet we still have high percentage of crime around this same season, So please in the midst of your shopping on and offline, beware of the scammers that are out there.  If you are looking for a wonderful personal protection  product, then look no further, the Taser Pulse is your answer! • Security Guards; Is the Taser Pulse The Right Device For You On the Job?

I  remember the days of being a security guard. Many days were great, and some were not so great.  But the one thing, i do remember, is that NOBODY really carried any self defense devices on them.  So this post is for my security officers and to hopefully give some insight on a particular device.

FIrst, I should probably take a moment to explain exactly what a TASER is and what it does.  A TASER is an Electronic Control Device (ECD) that delivers a shock to a subject by means of two probes that are launched from the front of the unit by compressed air.  The probes are connected to the unit by ultra-thin wires, which unravel as the probes fly toward their target.  Once the probes have attached themselves to a subject’s skin or clothing, the unit delivers a debilitating shock that causes severe pain and muscle lockup (also called Neuro-Muscular Incapacitation, or NMI).  NMI is the process by which a TASER stimulates the subject’s motor nerves, which causes the subject’s muscles to contract outside of the subject’s direct control.  This is why you cannot resist the effects of a TASER ECD, unlike a “stun gun”, which only applies pain without NMI.

At the present time, TASER International’s primary business is providing TASER ECDs to police agencies.  However, TASER has developed TASER ECD packages designed specifically to address the needs of professional security guards.  Among them are the “X26”, which is carried by police officers around the world, and the “Pulse”, which is the smaller, sleeker, simpler and less expensive cousin to the X26.  The Pulse is a serious self-defense tool.

In my view, TASER ECDs, particularly the Pulse, is a wonderful “less lethal” option for security officers.  Unlike police officers, security guards, as a general rule, are not required to subdue subjects or make arrests.  Still, security guards are sometimes placed in harm’s way, by the very nature of their duties.

While law enforcement agencies have worked tirelessly in their efforts to employ “less lethal” technologies, the security industry has not.  Most security guards don’t carry any self-defense tools.  Those who do, carry firearms and batons, both of which are deadly weapons.  The only commonly carried “less lethal” option among security guards is pepper spray (sometimes called O.C., for oleoresin capsaicin).

Pepper spray is a wonderful tool in many instances, but it is not always the best tool.  Take security aboard the San Diego Trolley for example.  What would happen if a security guard sprayed pepper spray at a subject inside a trolley car? The answer is simple.  The entire car and everyone in it would be exposed to the effects of the pepper spray.   The same is true of the security officer who works in a downtown office building, a shopping mall or any other enclosed space.  A firearms is a poor choice for such locations for similar reasons, as well as the fact that a missed shot could injure or kill a bystander.   A TASER ECD, on the other hand, could be deployed against a specific subject, without significant risk of harm to onlookers.

A TASER  is also less noticeable than a firearm.  Security guards in a professional environment, such as an office building or hospital, might prefer a self-defense tool that is low profile and can be carried in such a way as to be almost unnoticeable.  The Pulse has been designed with discretion in mind.  It is a powerful  self-defense tool that does not alarm clients, employees or guests.  It is also moderately priced when compared to the X26 or X3.

The security industry will always need a variety of force options for officers to use in defense of themselves and others.  In some cases, a firearms, baton or pepper spray will be the appropriate tool.  But in many instances, a TASER ECD in the hands of a well trained security guard could be the perfect tool to resolve potentially dangerous encounters, while reducing the risks of injury to everyone concerned, and the costly litigation that often follows such incidents.
